2018 Lent and Easter Schedule

All Tuesdays of Lent
Lenten Faith Sharing Group from 7:00-8:30 PM in the Parish Center.

All Fridays of Lent
Stations of the Cross at 1:00 PM
Evening Mass followed by Soup Supper at 6:30 PM


 

 

Lenten Opportunities:

Lenten Disciplines: Abstinence: Everyone 14 years and older is bound to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, all the Fridays of Lent, and Good Friday. Mass attendance: During Lent, the Church encourages attendance at daily Mass and reception of the Eucharist. Almsgiving: During Lent, the Church encourages generosity to local, national, and worldwide programs of sharing.

Lenten Reflections: As you enter the Church, please glance at the easel. Throughout Lent it will feature the day’s Gospel reading and a short meditation. If you would like to have these emailed daily, let us know!

Stations of the Cross: We will observe the Stations of the Cross every Friday in Lent at 1:00 PM.

Friday Night Mass and Soup Suppers. Every Friday throughout Lent, there will be special Friday Mass in the Church at 6:30 PM, followed by a soup supper in the rectory.

Lenten Faith Sharing: Starting Tuesday, February 27, and continuing through the following Tuesdays of Lent (2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, and 3/27 ), parishioner Bertina Cannizzaro, an Archdiocesan Faith Sharing Group Facilitator, will be leading a faith sharing group. The group will meet from 7-8:30PM in the Parish Center. The reading will be Daybreaks- Daily Reflections for Lent and Easter Week by Ron Rolheiser, OMI. Copies will beprovided. Please register by calling the parish office.

Choose Life! 40 Days For Life: Beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 1, and through Lent, the San Francisco “40 Days for Life” will be held by Planned Parenthood at 1650 Valencia Street in San Francisco. The Latin Mass

On the first Sunday of each month at 11:45 AM,
we will celebrate Mass in Latin, with Gregorian Chant.
